Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fencing Erector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing steel estate fencing on residential and commercial properties. In addition to installing our fencing, the candidate would specialise in the installation of Steel Edging, Steel Weave Fencing and other outdoor steel products.
This role requires a practical individual with experience in construction-related tasks and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of safety procedures and the use of hand and power tools is essential.
***The work is varied and the majority of jobs will involve staying away from home Monday - Friday with overnight stays throughout the UK, therefore a flexible approach is required.***
Responsibilities
- Erect fencing, install steel edging in accordance with project specifications
- Read technical drawings and plans to ensure correct installation procedures are followed
- Measure and mark out fencing lines accurately using specialised tools
- Dig post holes and prepare foundations for fencing structures
- Use hand tools (e.g., hammers and levels) and power tools safely and effectively
- Arc welding products on site
- Assist with site preparation and clean-up following installation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Duties
- Install Estate Fencing, Steel Edging, Steel Weave Fencing and other outdoor steel products nationwide.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete fencing projects.
- Arc welding our products on site.
- Ensure all fencing is plumb and level, adhering to specified measurements.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fencing or related construction fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Arc welding experience is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good physical fitness; ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A full clean driver's licence is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
