Overview
The role of a Befriender is vital in providing companionship and support to individuals, particularly those who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation. As a Befriender, you will engage with clients, offering a listening ear and fostering meaningful connections. This position is particularly suited for individuals with a compassionate nature and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Duties
- Companionship and stimulating conversation.
- Preparing and cooking nutritious meals.
- Light housework like cleaning and vacuuming.
- Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions.
Skills
- We're looking for adaptable, personable people who genuinely put others first.
- Experience is welcome (Support Worker, Care Assistant, Domiciliary Care, or even caring for a loved one).
- No formal experience? No problem! We provide full, comprehensive training and ongoing professional support.
- You MUST have a Valid UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes and the Right to work in the UK
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
