Job Overview
It is a requirement to have a 'A' Category motorcycle licence.
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible driver specialising in motorcycle deliveries. This role involves ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods, maintaining excellent communication with customers, and adhering to all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery services, and the ability to manage physical tasks associated with heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate motorcycles for delivery of goods within designated routes and schedules
- Ensure accurate and prompt delivery of motorcycles and or scooters, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Communicate effectively with the team and customers regarding the delivery
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Competent in loading and unloading goods.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including timestamps and recipient signatures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with motorcycle or two-wheeled vehicle expertise
- Valid B driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in route planning and record keeping
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area is desirable
