D S Willetts Stainless is looking to recruit an experienced Waterjet & Plasma Machine Operator to join our production team. Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Set up, operate and monitor waterjet and plasma cutting machines to ensure efficient production.
- Produce components accurately in accordance with customer specifications and production schedules.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
- Report machine faults or operational issues promptly.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Dress, inspect and pack finished products to the required quality standards.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure production schedules are achieved.
Warehouse & General Duties
- Assist with general warehouse operations as required.
- Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, checking quantities, condition and compliance with purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, pallet trucks and other material handling equipment (training provided where required).
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Report maintenance or health & safety concerns to supervisors without delay.
- Support colleagues across the warehouse and production departments to meet business requirements.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
· The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating waterjet and/or plasma cutting machines.
- A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible approach with the ability to prioritise workload.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Experience of operating overhead cranes is desirable, although training can be provided.
