Doctors Direct, part of NHS Professionals, is recruiting two Paediatric Radiology Consultants to support East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust on a six‑month placement, with the possibility of extension.
In this role, you will help deliver high‑quality paediatric radiology services across a busy and supportive NHS Trust, contributing to safe, effective and patient‑centred care. You’ll work closely with consultant colleagues and wider teams to provide expert clinical input, supervise junior doctors and support service development.
- Provide tertiary-level paediatric imaging services including neuroimaging across all imaging modalities.
- Contribute to CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and general X-ray reporting within the paediatric imaging department.
- Participate in the on-call rota supporting acute and emergency imaging services
Working patterns available
- 9am to 5pm
- 9am to 9am (unsocial hours option)

Key responsibilities

Essential criteria
- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- FRCR qualification
- Minimum six months’ NHS experience as a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
- Three years of NHS references
