As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating and improving manufacturing activities across the business. You will ensure production is well planned, runs efficiently, and meets customer and business needs. Working within a bespoke manufacturing environment, you will manage project-based workflows and work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and workshop teams to keep production on track and continuously improve processes. Other job titles might include: Planner, Production Scheduler, Master Scheduler or Production Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities - Production Planner:
- Manage and improve daily production planning across the manufacturing operation
- Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer deadlines and business needs
- Use Excel and Microsoft Projects to track production, materials, and progress
- Work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and workshop teams to keep projects on track
- Monitor production performance and solve issues that may cause delays or disruption
- Manage stock and materials to ensure availability while keeping costs under control
- Support and guide team members while promoting health & safety and continuous improvement
Key Requirements - Production Planner:
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience working with Excel and Microsoft Projects systems to manage production, materials, and workflows
- Happy to commute to Loughborough
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of materials management, supply chain coordination, and inventory control
- Commercial awareness with a focus on delivery performance and customer satisfaction

- Days Shifts Mon-Fri, with an early finish Friday.
