Community Carer (Experienced & Trainee Opportunities)
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Community Care provider across the South West. We are looking for both experienced and trainee Community Carers to join a dedicated and supportive team.
As a Community Carer, you will support service users living independently in their own homes, helping them maintain their quality of life while remaining safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible. This role involves providing practical support with daily living activities, medication, personal care, and offering companionship as a trusted and familiar face.

Key Responsibilities
- Support service users with their day-to-day living while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, washing, and dressing
- Support with meal preparation and mealtimes
- Administer or assist with medication where required
- Accompany service users to appointments, shopping trips, social events, and days out
- Provide companionship and emotional support, helping service users feel safe, comfortable, and valued
- Make a positive difference to the lives of those you support every day
Requirements
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential. This may include:
- Community care
- Residential or nursing home care
- Hospital-based care
- Supporting a family member in a caring capacity
- Full training will be provided for the right candidates
- Must hold a valid driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle is preferred, although pool cars are available
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Friendly, trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable nature
- Ability to work either:
- Split shifts (7:00am – 2:00pm and 4:00pm – 10:00pm), or
- One of the above shifts
- Some flexibility may be available depending on individual circumstances and experience
- Must have the right to work in the UK
