Jasmine Restaurant is a welcoming dining destination in Manchester known for great food, warm hospitality, and a friendly atmosphere. We're looking for an enthusiastic Waitress to join our front of house team and help deliver an excellent experience to every guest.
Job Overview
As a Waitress, you'll be the face of Jasmine Restaurant — greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and making sure every customer leaves happy. This role suits someone who's personable, quick on their feet, and takes pride in great service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a warm, professional manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
- Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients (including allergen information)
- Process payments and handle the till accurately
- Set up and clear tables, maintaining a clean and tidy dining area
- Handle customer questions, requests, and complaints professionally
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a waitress/waiter or in a customer service role (preferred but not essential)
- Friendly, approachable, and well-presented
- Strong communication skills and a good memory for orders
- Able to stay calm and efficient during busy periods
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (or willingness to complete training)
