Overview
Would you like to work as part of a small and happy team in our 30 bed Nursing Home for older people in Seaford?
We need people to work as House Keepers, 8am to 1pm, cleaning Residents rooms, communal areas and undertaking from time to time some laundry duties + occasionally washing up in the kitchen. We have Saturday and Sunday vacancies, and also every Monday and additional hours to cover your colleagues holidays.
We put our Residents at the center of all we do at Westerleigh, and offer the best personalized care possible to them. You will need to be kind and caring, able to work under the guidance of the Duty supervisor, complete paperwork as required and attend training (for which you are paid). We offer paid breaks, uniforms and the opportunity to progress to other job roles if you wish
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of staff areas, communal areas, and private residence rooms according to established protocols
- replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels and ppe.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, dust surfaces, and clean windows internally to ensure all areas are spotless
- Disinfect bathrooms , ensuring all surfaces are hygienic and well-maintained
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when stock levels are low
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
Experience
- Previous experience in Nursing home housekeeping, general cleaning services work is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and products used in professional cleaning environments
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices COSHH
- Experience working efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
