Mechanical Plumber

Up to £40,000 + £150 Standby (1 in 4) + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Plumber to join a well-established on-site engineering team supporting a large commercial facility across the Sedgefield and Darlington area.

The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems within a busy commercial site.
Key duties include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and plumbing systems
- Working on hot & cold water systems, pumps, valves, and plant room equipment
- Supporting site compliance and statutory maintenance requirements
- Completing maintenance records and job documentation
- Working closely with the on-site engineering team and client representatives
- Participating in a 1 in 4 callout rota
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in FM, building services, or commercial maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
