Finance Manager
Inspirations Leicestershire Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of the organisation. Supporting a growing group of children’s residential care homes, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strong financial management, compliance, reporting accuracy, and strategic financial planning across the business.

Main Purpose of the Role
To manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, budget management, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organisation’s financial management processes including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor expenditure across services and support managers in maintaining effective budget control.
- Manage payroll oversight, pension administration, and financial reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory obligations, and internal financial controls.
- Lead on year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and governance.
- Monitor occupancy, staffing costs, and operational performance to support business sustainability and growth.
- Produce financial reports and KPI information for Directors and senior management teams.
- Support funding applications, local authority fee negotiations, and financial planning for new services.
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, invoicing, and credit control functions.
- Identify financial risks and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and compliance.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of finance systems and reporting tools.
Essential Criteria
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT Level 4 or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing financial systems, payroll oversight, and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial managers.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within social care, healthcare, education, or children’s services.
- Knowledge of local authority funding processes and regulated care environments.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
- Understanding of Ofsted-regulated services and staffing models within residential care.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
