We are seeking two Progress Tutor Team Leaders to join our highly impactful student support service—playing a central role in helping students succeed, progress and thrive.
About the Role
This is a unique development opportunity that combines hands-on leadership with structured, in-role training in people management and project delivery.
You’ll build and develop your management capability while leading and supporting a friendly team of Progress Tutors, driving improvements in student attendance, achievement, personal development, progression and retention through data-informed practice.
You’ll also contribute to key projects that shape and enhance the student experience—making this the ideal stepping stone into a full management career.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and developing a team of Progress Tutors to deliver high-quality pastoral and academic support via the Personal and Professional Development programme.
- Learning and applying effective people management practices, including coaching and performance support
- Using data to identify students at risk and implement targeted interventions
- Contributing to strategies that improve attendance, retention and achievement
- Supporting a high-quality, inclusive tutorial programme that promotes personal and academic development
- Working closely with curriculum, safeguarding, SEND and careers teams to support student success
- Playing an active role in projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the service
Who We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates ready to transition into leadership.
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience working with young people in education or support settings
- Experience of mentoring, supporting/coaching colleagues or contributing to team delivery
- A passion for pastoral care, inclusion and student outcomes
- Confidence using (or willingness to learn) data to drive improvement
- The motivation to develop into an effective and inspiring leader
