Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standard.
- Oversee food production, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals and excellent customer service
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new dishes or improve existing offerings
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment cleaning and stock organisation
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving a diverse range of dishes
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices, including customer service excellence and health regulations
