Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hostel manager to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, and general guest management . This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our facilities while working in a supportive and professional environment.
The site is a 82 bed Hostel.
Free onsite accommodation will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of all designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a secure working environment
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including window washing or deep cleaning of carpets and upholstery
- Deal with guests and check in / checkout
Experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Previous experience with managing guests

Pay: £24,420.00-£38,976.09 per year
