CCS – Cornerstone Counselling Services is an established counselling service and training provider based in London. We are expanding our training provision and are preparing to launch the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop a growing, trauma-informed counselling training programme with a strong emphasis on reflective practice, mental health awareness, safeguarding, ethical practice, and professional development.
Assistant Tutor – CPCAB Level 4 DiplomaRole Overview
We are also seeking a supportive and enthusiastic Co-Tutor / Assistant Tutor to work alongside the Lead Tutor in delivering the programme.
This role is ideal for a developing counselling tutor who is passionate about counselling education and wishes to gain further experience within Level 4 professional training.
The Co-Tutor will support teaching delivery, student learning, reflective practice activities, and general course administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching sessions and skills practice activities
- Assist with student support and tutorial guidance
- Support marking and feedback processes where appropriate
- Contribute to reflective learning activities and group discussions
- Assist with course preparation and administration
- Support a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in tutor meetings and standardisation activities
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A recognised counselling qualification at Level 4 or above
- Current counselling practice experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for counselling education and trainee development
- Understanding of ethical and professional practice
Desirable
- Previous teaching or facilitation experience
- CPCAB familiarity
- Experience in group work or reflective practice facilitation
- Interest in trauma-informed counselling education
