Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Will be working approximately 38 hours per week with Mondays & Tuesdays off.
Duties
- Daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and effective teamwork. Running of the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes to enhance our offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
