Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment. The Car Mechanic will also provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing worn or damaged parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
- Use assembly skills to reassemble vehicles after repairs are completed
- Conduct equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop tools and machinery are in good working order
- Assist with the installation of new parts or systems as required
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing customer concerns
Experience
- Proven experience as a Car Mechanic or similar role in an automotive workshop or garage environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
Pay: From £120.00 per day
