Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a different approach to education?

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils both within the classroom and in alternative learning environments, helping them re-engage with education, develop positive relationships, and build the confidence and resilience needed to succeed.
The school provides a nurturing, relationship-led environment where every pupil is treated as an individual. Staff work collaboratively to create a calm and restorative setting, supporting children and young people who may have experienced barriers to learning, social challenges, or difficult life experiences.

- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development
- Helping pupils engage positively with education and daily routines
- Acting as a consistent and supportive role model
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external professionals
- Using restorative and relationship-based approaches to support pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural, or additional support needs
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in mentoring, youth work, support work, coaching, care, or education settings
- Confidence supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
- An understanding of trauma-informed or restorative approaches would be beneficial
- A background in SEND, pastoral support, or Alternative Provision is highly desirable
