Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service while preparing a variety of beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, food safety, and creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Responsibilities
- Previous barista experience required
- Previous experience supervising/managing in a similar work environment, with the ability to be proactive, responsive and responsible
- The ability to consistently prepare drinks including coffee, matcha and smoothies to a high-quality standard
- The ability to create and present acai bowls with a high level of precision, care and speed
- A moderate to good understanding of matcha
- Strong attention to detail and consistency of product quality
- Willingness to learn and ability to undertake roles in different areas of the business
- Punctual, reliable, proactive and positive with a team first mindset
- Confidence working in a fast paced environment and the ability to manage long queues and busy periods to keep service smooth and efficient
- A warm, guest experience focused attitude
- Must be able to work weekdays & weekends
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
- Keep the workspace clean and organised, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving or other duties as required.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Experience in serving customers within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
