Vehicle Mechanic Required

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our long-established family business. This role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time positions available.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of company vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and compliant with service schedules.
Please note: You must have your own tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs including brakes, suspension, exhausts, clutches, timing belts, and general mechanical work
- Liaise with the Office Manager/Director and drivers to explain issues, discuss repair options, and provide updates
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with relevant regulations
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostic procedures
- Confident in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Good communication skills with a professional approach
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence required
