We are currently recruiting a fully qualified, GDC registered Dental Nurse to join our NHS Out-of-Hours Emergency Dental Service team in central Cambridge. This role involves weekend and Bank Holiday coverage.
We are a small, dedicated team delivering emergency dental care via NHS 111 referrals, serving patients during out-of-hours periods.
This role encompasses both clinical dental nursing responsibilities and reception duties. The successful candidate will work varying weekend hours, ideally Saturday's with some Sunday and Bank Holiday cover required. Free parking available nearby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance and decontamination duties
- Answer incoming calls and perform patient triage
- Schedule same-day appointments
- Welcome patients in a professional, reassuring manner
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation
- Process and record patient payments
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Dental Nurse with GDC certification - this is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Availability for weekend and Bank Holiday shifts
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Dentally software (advantageous but not essential)
