We are hiring a Learning Support Practitioner to join our busy and successful SEND department on a full-time, term-time only basis.
We are looking for a candidate who is both confident and able to work with and supervise young people in a classroom environment, and who will ensure that quality learning takes place during staff absence by delivering the pre-planned curriculum and cover work supplied.
If you have previous experience working within a secondary school with students with SEN/SEMH needs, knowledge of how to deliver personalised learning and how to raise attainment this varied role may be the role for you.
About the Academy
Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Borough of Sandwell, and in very close proximity to the centre of Birmingham. It is a slightly larger than average, 11–16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,200 students. It has grown over the last few years and is now full and oversubscribed in every year group for the seventh consecutive year. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy, for the third time in 2023.
