We are seeking a skilled Electrician specialising in domestic social housing to join our team on a PAYE basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) within social housing properties, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. Duties
- We are recruiting a Bedfordshire-based PAYE Electrician to join our team on a long-term basis, working on established domestic social housing contracts.
This role suits engineers who value job security, local work, and a steady routine.
Role responsibilities:
- Domestic EICRs and remedial works
- Target of 2 EICRs per day, including remedials
- Installation of Aico smoke alarm systems including gateways
- Additional works may include:
- Consumer unit replacements
- Fan installations
- Full and partial rewires
- Communal EICRs and steel conduit containment
- Certification completed using EasyCert
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician specialising in domestic or social housing environments.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations, including EICR requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and inspection reports.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications recognised within the UK industry.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable for travel between sites.
