We are looking for people that have experience in construction across all trades, but are also willing to learn and adapt. Ideal candidates will have a strong base in carpentry.
CIS and CSCS cards are mandatory and own transportation is a strong plus.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled labourer to join our construction team. This versatile professional will be responsible for performing a wide range of trade tasks across various projects, including residential and commercial sites. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and more, ensuring efficient project completion and high-quality craftsmanship. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing power and hand tools and techniques, contributing to the successful delivery of construction and renovation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, door hanging, framing, cabinet installation, and flooring installation
- Execute masonry work including concrete forming, finishing, and bricklaying
- Conduct roofing repairs and installations with attention to safety and quality standards
- Install and repair plumbing systems and electrical components in accordance with schematics and blueprints
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely for various construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks
- Perform plastering, rendering, caulking, and drywall finishing
- Fabricate custom components as needed for specific projects (i.e. box-ins)
- Manage restoration projects involving demolition, rebuilding, or refurbishing existing structures
- Execute hardscape installations such as patios or walkways
- Install glass fixtures, countertops, or other specialized elements with precision
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards throughout each phase of construction
Requirements
- Proven experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and concrete finishing
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction management practices and estimating is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs
- Valid certifications or licenses relevant to specific trades (e.g., digger, electrical license or welding certification) are preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience working on diverse construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship
