Job Summary:
Swann-Morton are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join the Tool Room Department at our premises in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, making and maintaining press tooling. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background.
Responsibilities:
- Design, construct and maintain press tooling for the purpose of blanking blades
- Program and set up CNC machines to produce custom tooling.
- Review engineering specifications and drawings and ensure accurate tool designs.
- Monitor production and inspect for quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot tooling, as needed.
- Make suggestions regarding process improvements.
- Ensure the highest level of safety is maintained on the factory floor.
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards.
