Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable,professional and customer-focused Night porter to join our team at the cwrt bleddyn. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the hotel during overnight hours, providing excellent customer service to guests and assisting with a range of reception,security and housekeeping duties
Duties
- Welcome late arriving upon arrival and provide a warm, friendly service experience during night hours
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns via telephone or in person
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security
- Handle administrative tasks such as logging incidents, maintaining records, and preparing reports as needed
- Assist with organising late-night events or services as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and other common spaces during shift
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences throughout their stay
- Set up meeting rooms or public areas as required for the following day.
- Carry out light housekeeping cleaning duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while remaining vigilant and attentive to detail
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
- Organised with good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist international guests effectively
