Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves managing various warehouse functions, ensuring efficient stock movement, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess relevant warehouse experience and be comfortable operating equipment such as forklifts. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and safety. Just need to be able to follow basic instruction.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility
- Manage stock levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software, ensuring accurate inventory records
- Handle materials with care, including picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment or storage
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying goods against documentation
- Load and unload lorries efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Stock shelves and organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment and report any faults promptly
- Support in construction-related tasks when required, including assembly or maintenance activities
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 systems
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and stock management principles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Experience with picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £12.21-£13.25 per hour
