Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Part-time Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, customer-focused, and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product information, and supporting sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Processing and dispatching online orders
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries confidently
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and organise stock on the shop floor
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and process payments efficiently
- Ensure the shop floor remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling enquiries via telephone or online channels
Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal interaction
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations
