Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are upheld. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift
- Organising storage areas and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely
- Supporting the removal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks as required
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude towards work
- Basic understanding of culinary processes or hospitality operations is beneficial
