Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Driver to operate telehandlers on-site at our construction or industrial project. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely manoeuvring heavy loads, assisting with site logistics, and supporting the overall efficiency of operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials across the site
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate movement of goods and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily inspections
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site protocols
- Support with the operation of excavators or other machinery as required, utilising mechanical knowledge
Qualifications
- Valid telehandler operator licence or certification recognised in the UK
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within construction or industrial environments
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating and maintaining heavy machinery such as excavators and telehandlers
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
