Maintenance Technician - 30 hours per week
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our student accommodation safe, well maintained, and welcoming. You’ll handle reactive repairs, planned maintenance, painting and decorating, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
- Complete painting, decorating, and general upkeep tasks.
- Maintain shared spaces and apartments to a high standard.
- Conduct health & safety compliance checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and legionella testing.
- Keep accurate maintenance and safety records.
- Support inspections, events, and wider site activities.
- Provide a friendly and professional service to residents, keeping them informed on maintenance updates.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a similar role.
- Skilled in painting, decorating, and general repairs.
- Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Trade qualifications or certifications such as NVQ or 18th Edition are desirable but not essential.
Additional Information
- 30 hours per week.
