Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Helper to support our administrative team. This role involves assisting with daily office operations, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have some office experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Duties
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents
- Manage basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and assist with invoicing or billing processes
- Support the team with general clerical duties including typing, email correspondence, and scheduling appointments
- Ensure the office environment remains tidy and well-organised
- Assist in preparing reports or presentations as required by management
- Provide support during meetings by taking minutes or organising materials
Experience
- Prior office experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those eager to learn
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
- Experience with data entry and basic administrative tasks is advantageous
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is preferred
- Previous clerical experience will be considered an asset
