Out and About Campers are looking for a reliable and hard-working Vehicle Cleaner / Valeter to help keep our campervans looking their best.
This is a flexible, part-time role paid on a day-rate basis. The number of days required each week will vary depending on experience and how efficiently tasks are completed.
No Experience? No Problem
We welcome applications from people looking to start a career in vehicle valeting, detailing or smart repairs.
If you have a strong work ethic, a good eye for detail and take pride in doing a job properly, we are happy to consider applicants with little or no previous experience and provide training where appropriate.
The day rate offered will reflect experience, skills and the range of duties you are able to undertake.
Responsibilities
- Full interior and exterior valeting of campervans prior to customer handover
- Cleaning and preparing our stock vehicles on a rotating basis
- Removing workshop dust, swarf and debris from vehicles following manufacturing work
- Washing, polishing and maintaining vehicle presentation standards
- Reporting any damage or issues noticed during cleaning
- Ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standard before customers view or collect them
Desirable Skills
- Previous vehicle valeting or detailing experience
- Experience carrying out minor cosmetic vehicle repairs (smart repairs), such as paint touch-ups, polishing, scratch removal or alloy wheel repairs
- Any additional vehicle preparation or detailing skills would be considered an advantage
Applicants with smart repair experience may be offered a higher day rate, depending on their skills and the range of work they are able to undertake.
About You
- Take pride in your work and have a keen eye for detail
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Previous valeting or vehicle cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to travel to Henfield Business park
