General Description of the Role
To assist in the smooth running of the Production Department by ensuring that the correct materials are available to the manufacturing team. Unloading incoming materials, and moving to designated areas and loading company vehicles ready for the following day.
Ensuring the warehouse area is kept clean, safe and tidy, skips are emptied promptly. Assisting on the finishing lines with product packaging.
Hours of Work
40 hours per week plus Overtime as may be required
Main Tasks of the Role
- Ensure manufacturing team has adequate supplies to ensure continuous production
- Pick goods & materials and move to production area.
- Off-load deliveries, both palletised and individual cartons, and book-in.
- Operate Fork lift trucks, pallet jacks, pump trucks and other types of production and warehouse equipment
- Packing and fulfilling orders
- Stock Management
- Palletization and strapping of goods for delivery
- Remove waste and recyclable materials to the appropriate skips
- Ensure warehouse and yard areas are tidy and free of hazards
- Preparing Despatch Documents and Logistics Plans
- Printing labels for cartons and pallets
- Produce labels and documents as needed for loads assigned to external carriers. Use company computer systems designed for stock control and other departmental tasks
- Loading Company delivery vehicles.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- To maintain standards in line with the requirements of the job, Health & Safety legislation and Company policies
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be determined from time to time by the Production Manager.
- To adhere to the procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
- Full compliance with British Retail Consortium, (BRC), hygiene standards

Applicant Specification
- Qualifications - Counter Balance Forklift License
- Skills / Knowledge - Must be able to work well within a team and demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience - Forklift operation, Goods In, and computerised stock control systems

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
