Pharmacy Counter Assistant / Dispenser
Location: Wood Green, London (next to Wood Green Underground Station)
We are a busy, well-established community pharmacy located just moments from Wood Green Underground Station, offering a friendly, supportive, and professional working environment. We are currently looking to recruit a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Dispenser/ assistant to join our team. You should be able to multitask spending some days on the counter and some days in the dispensary.
Pharmacy Opening Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week
- Full-time position available for candidates with previous UK pharmacy experience
Role Overview
Working under the direction of a qualified pharmacist, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the daily operation of the pharmacy
- Receiving, assembling, and handing out prescriptions
- Using pharmacy computer systems to generate labels and stock lists
- Ordering stock and managing deliveries (receiving, loading, and unloading)
- Selling over-the-counter medicines in line with current pharmacy legislation
- Answering customer queries face-to-face and over the phone
- Referring clinical or complex queries to the pharmacist
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation
About You
- Previous experience working in a UK pharmacy essential
- Trustworthy with a strong understanding of confidentiality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- Reliable, organised, and able to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the business
