Job Title: Night Production Operative
Reporting to: Hand Fab Manager
Position Type: Permanent / Full-time
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week (Mon–Wed, 5pm–7am)
Salary: In line with NMW/NLW, plus a shift allowance of £84.50 based on 39 hours (after training). Potential to earn a performance-based supplement.
Training: All training will be provided, with the first month to be worked on day shifts.
Purpose of Role:
To support the Production team in fabricating high-quality bags to customer specifications at an efficient rate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately follow written instructions on job sheets.
- Ensure the pre-cut material provided is of the correct dimensions and material type.
- Set Hand Sealers to the correct temperature and operate them safely.
- Check and maintain the quality of your own work.
- Complete Time Sheets legibly, clearly and accurately.
- Complete Job Sheets legibly, clearly and accurately.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the working area and follow the ‘tidy as you go’ policy.
- Ensure your own work is carried out safely and that the immediate working area complies with Health & Safety requirements.
- Follow any other reasonable request made by your supervisor or management.
- Demonstrate good manual dexterity to hand-fabricate products, with an aptitude for using tools, equipment, and any applicable machinery.
- Work to targets and meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain a helpful, reliable, can-do attitude with good team spirit to support the department as needed.
