We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, washrooms, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Disinfect surfaces and fixtures in line with health and safety protocols
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures is desirable
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for ensuring thorough cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
