Job Overview:
As a Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our warehouse. You’ll be responsible for handling inbound and outbound goods, coordinating with customers, manufacturers and logistics companies and managing the delivery calendar. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely receive, store and dispatch tyres and wheels in the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle goods in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including manual handling.
- Accurately pick, pack and load products for dispatch.
- Arrange transport, liaising with logistics companies and customers via email.
- Maintain the delivery calendar and ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping duties, keeping the space clean and organised.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Competency in using computer systems, especially for stock management and emailing.
- Good communication skills for liaising with customers and logistics partners.
- Comfortable with regular manual handling of wheels and tyres.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and commitment to safety protocols.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Access to own transport, as the site is not on a public transport route.
Desirable:
- Experience using stock management systems.
- Experience in warehouse operations.
- Previous experience in a tyre and wheel assembly environment.
- Forklift certification and experience operating forklifts.
