Chef de Partie - Tom's Chop House, Manchester
Tom's Chop House is one of Manchester's most historic and respected independent restaurants, serving classic British dishes and quality seasonal ingredients in the heart of the city since 1867.
We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about fresh food, enjoys working in a busy kitchen, and is looking to develop their career within a well-established hospitality business.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently and consistently, ensuring every dish meets our standards during service. You will work closely with the senior kitchen team and help support and develop junior chefs.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your section during preparation and service
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Preparing dishes to specification and company standards
- Supporting stock rotation and minimising waste
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Assisting with training junior members of the kitchen team
- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie
- Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Reliable, hardworking, and eager to develop
