Overview
We are are looking for a experienced and personable Shop Assistant to join our team. This weekend role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting shop operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and happy to work alone.
Duties
- Greeting customers and assisting with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Operating the shop’s point-of-sale system and processing transactions accurately
- Maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the shop and display areas
- Managing stock levels, including restocking shelves
- Assisting with general shop maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and tidy environment
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously
- Basic IT literacy, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and data entry software
- Previous experience working in a shop or petrol station
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to manage tasks efficiently
- Happy to work alone
- Friendly demeanour with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer assistance
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
