Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and have a keen eye for detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, ensuring guests enjoy memorable dining experiences. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. All roles are paid, including internship positions, with a focus on fostering a welcoming and efficient service atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a comfortable dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during food handling and service
- Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any queries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the guest experience
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
