Overview
We are looking for an experienced and professional Maintenance Manager to join our team to carry out a variety of work around Glenburnie Lodge, and help maintain the luxurious setting we provide.
The Maintenance Manager plays an important role in the upkeep and maintenance of Glenburnie Lodge, and will also need to undertake work as directed by the Home Director.
As Head of Maintenance, you will ensure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel safe and at home and to also ensure colleagues can carry out their jobs safely and to a high standard. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is an essential part of our commitment to delivering high standards of care and support. You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance with us, and you will turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home.
You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team and supporting the Home Director. You will also be required to liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the experience of your team.
The wellbeing of our residents will be your number one priority as Head of Maintenance, and you will ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs.
With hands on experience of property maintenance you will have at least one trade skill and, ideally, a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. You should be reliable and flexible when it comes to working hours, and you will be required to be On-Call at weekends.
- You will possess a solid understanding of plumbing, electrical and mechanical duties
- You will possess an understanding of health and safety and fire safety systems
- You will have previous experience of working in a care home environment
- You will possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple properties
