About the Company
Our client is seeking an experienced Wastewater Pump Engineer to join its skilled engineering team supporting operations at the Teesside Fire Training Centre.
This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewage and clean water pumping systems, while ensuring operational continuity, compliance, and sustainability across site infrastructure. The successful candidate will support the long-term management and eventual decommissioning of site systems ahead of full site handover.

Key Responsibilities
· You will be responsible for managing and maintaining water-related mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including:
· Pump stations
· Sewage treatment plants
· Reed beds
· Valves and mechanical pipework
· Chambers
· Balancing ponds and lagoons
· Associated drainage systems
· Sampling and compliance activities
· Supporting commercial sustainability and site continuity
· Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company and site health & safety standards
About You
· Minimum 5 years’ experience working with wastewater or pumping systems
· Mechanical bias with hands-on experience in:
· Pump removal
· Installation
· Associated mechanical works
· Experience working on sewage pumping stations or sewage treatment plants is highly desirable
· Full UK driving licence required
Role Requirements & Working Conditions
- Strong electrical knowledge and practical engineering skills are essential
- Future training and development opportunities may be available as the electrical division expands
- The role is primarily site-based at sewage pumping stations and treatment plants
- Work is mainly outdoors and can involve dirty environments
