We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team.

The Role
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and excellent service. You will be expected to take full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, leading and motivating the team while maintaining the highest standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar senior kitchen role.
- A genuine passion for producing excellent food and maintaining consistency.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a kitchen team.
- Fully flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
- Willingness to provide cover at short notice for sickness and holiday absences when required.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a busy service environment.
- An up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Strong understanding of food safety, allergen management, and kitchen compliance procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Managing kitchen service and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.
- Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency, and portion control.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Training and developing junior members of the kitchen team.
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.
- Maintaining exceptional cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
