Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting the development and implementation of personalised care plans
- Providing emotional support and companionship to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services
- Monitoring health conditions and reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Assisting with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Maintaining accurate records using IT systems and ensuring documentation is up-to-date
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Driving between different care locations when required, ensuring timely support for clients
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between locations
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
