Role Overview
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the accuracy of daily financial operations. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, support payroll processes, and assist with day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Recording: Accurately input daily revenue transactions into the accounting system.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll preparation and processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process supplier invoices and maintain purchase ledgers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and manage sales ledger activities.
- Query Management: Handle supplier and customer queries related to invoices and payments in a professional and timely manner.
- Financial Administration: Provide general administrative and data entry support to the finance team as required.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who demonstrates:
- Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and commitment to meeting daily and weekly deadlines.
- Organisation Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks and remain organised in a fast-paced office environment.
- Teamwork: A proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues when needed.
