NRGI is recruiting a Fundraising Officer, to support our fundraising plan delivery and contribute to securing the resources needed to deliver NRGI's strategic objectives (organizational budget of $14.6m in 2026).
The ideal candidate will be committed to NRGI’s mission and vision. Prior experience working within a team producing complex bids to institutional and foundation funders for international development organizations is necessary. Reporting to the Fundraising Director, the Fundraising Officer will have a strong hands-on orientation. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in a busy team, help build the funding pipeline and strengthen donor relationships to ensure NRGI’s long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate proposal development processes for bilateral, multilateral, and foundation funders

Draft, edit, and finalize high-quality proposal content

Support proposal budget development aligned with organisational priorities

Undertake prospect research and monitor funding opportunities

Support donor relationship management and stewardship activities

Coordinate grant management processes (contracting, reporting, compliance, close-out)

Prepare high-quality donor reports using MEL data
-
Maintain accurate records across CRM systems and donor portals

Support planning and coordination of funder engagement activities

Contribute to annual fundraising planning and priorities

Liaise with colleagues across programs and corporate teams
Experience & Technical Skills
-
At least four years’ relevant experience securing or supporting institutional or foundation funding

Experience in proposal development and grant management
-
Experience supporting donor relationships
-
Experience developing proposal budgets and understanding cost recovery principles
-
Strong research and analytical skills, including prospect research
-
Experience using CRM or donor management systems

Experience working in global, cross-cultural teams
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail

Ability to produce clear, compelling written content for different audiences

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
-
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure

Fluency in French and/or Spanish is desirable

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education & Qualifications
-
University degree in a relevant field (e.g. political science, development, economics, law, international affairs)

Equivalent experience and transferable skills will also be considered
