Due to continued high demand, we currently have an exciting new opportunity for the following at our Tholthorpe, York depot:
Labourer wanted:
Key responsibilities
· Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment
· Help erect, dismantle, and install porta cabins/modular buildings
· Carry out general site preparations and clean-up duties
· Support the various trade staff ie joiners, plumbers, electricians and painters
· Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas including removal of debris and waste
· Clean out cabins ready for transporting
· Operate and use basic hand and power tools safely
· Report any unsafe conditions and follow site health & safety rules
· Drive company vehicle and use a forklift truck (training for the FLT) will be given
· Carry out basic maintenance tasks such a painting, siliconing of areas
Skills and Qualifications
· Previous labouring or cabin experience preferred but not essential
· Ability to work effectively in a physical demanding outdoor environment
· Good communication skills and ability to work on your own initiative and follow instructions
· Valid UK driving licence
· Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders
· Punctual, hardworking and reliable
· Team player with a positive attitude
· Willing to learn new skills and take on varied tasks
