Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in team leadership. This role offers an opportunity to lead a motivated team, ensure smooth store functioning, and enhance customer satisfaction through effective supervision and organisation. The Shop Supervisor will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service, merchandising, and operational efficiency.
Hours are non negotiable:
Thursday - 1:15pm - 5:15pm
Friday - 8:45am -5:45pm (30minute break)
Saturday - 8:45am - 5:45pm (30minute break)
TOTAL HOURS: 21
Must be flexible to cover staff holidays
Rate of Pay: NMW +30p per hour
Responsibilities
- Complate daily shop activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Opening and closing shop
- Cashing up tills.
- Oversee merchandising standards, ensuring products are well displayed and stock levels are maintained
- Manage sales processes, including upselling and promoting products to maximise revenue
- Handle customer enquiries with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop premises
Skills
- Proven experience with a background in supervising teams within retail or similar environments is PREFERRED
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide staff towards achieving goals
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and staff.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and retail operations is advantageous
- Sound time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
