Overview
My client, an engineering company based in Stourport-on-Severn is looking to recruit an ongoing Warehouse Operative. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment.
Duties
- Handling materials efficiently
- Picking and packing items for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and quality standards are met.
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility.
- Managing shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and liaising with couriers or delivery personnel.
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch.
- Performing mechanical inspections on equipment and reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
- Assisting with stock rotation and maintaining a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supporting the team with additional warehouse tasks as required, including heavy lifting and load/unload activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse operations
- A recognized Counterbalance Forklift License is essential (In-house cannot be accepted)
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and stock management.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
